Although we would like to claim we live in a perfect world, all agencies have to set out some rules and responsibilities.

 

Our rights

  • Jozie Airport Cabs will be referred to as JAC from here on onwards

  • JAC and their drivers / contractors reserve the right to refuse access to passenger or baggage that could seem likely to cause the crew, other passengers and the vehicle harm or damage

    • Including rude or disrespectful behavior, intoxicated passengers, disobedience of standard T’s and C’s

  • Dependent on tour availability, tours and day trips might differ from package disclosed on website. If any tour changes may occur information will be communicated to passengers in advance at the soonest convenience

  • Amendments to the T’s and C’s may change from time to time, and the continued use of this website will be seen as your acceptance of the amendments

  • If you wish to provide feedback, feel free to provide feedback on our website

 

Bookings and Pricing

  • It remains the responsibility of the passenger to ensure that all necessary information is captured and correct upon booking confirmation

  • All quotations will remain valid for 14 days after enquiry unless stipulated otherwise

  • All costs as quoted are not final and may vary dependent as per passengers requirements (surcharges may apply)

    • Quotations are based on approximate figures as per summarized requirements logged on initial request

  • Pricing rates may vary dependent on availability, currency and season of the year

  • Quotations prepare in South African Rand (ZAR)

  • To secure a transfer or tour, an email confirmation and deposit is required from the agent, operator or passenger

  • Any booking and itinerary changes must be submitted within 24hours of the booking commencement. Surcharges may apply.

  • Transfers

    • In case of overnight transfers passenger will be reliable for driver’s single accommodation, meals and secure parking for vehicle and trailers

    • Deposit will apply if required as per quotation

  • Tours

    • Booking made more than 30 days prior to commencement date require a 50% deposit to confirm the booking

      • Outstanding fees can be paid upon arrival via our available payment methods

    • Booking made within 30 days prior to departure require a 75% deposit to confirm the booking

      • Outstanding fees can be paid upon arrival via our available payment methods

  • Surcharges

    • JAC reserve the right apply a surcharge to:-

      • Deviation from route, additional

        • Distance

        • Stops

      • Toll gates

      • Airport parking if delayed due to passenger delay

      • Out of pocket expenditure

      • Public holidays i.e. New Years, Christmas, local public holidays (Limited to South Africa and South African religions. Will be indicated on official quotations)

 

Payment options

  • Payment can be made through any one of the following platforms:

    • Paypal

    • Credit card

    • EFT

    • Zapper (Easily downloadable application to make payments. As simple as download and scan QR code. Favorite local application accepted by most tourist outlets in South Africa)

  • If cash-on-delivery (COD) payment option is agreed, credit card details might be required to confirm booking

    • Credit card block might be required until full payment is made

 

Cancellations Policy

  • Passenger shall forfeit deposit made if cancellation is made within 48hours of agreement date and time

  • In case no deposit was made, passenger will still be reliable for the deposit amount as per quotation

  • Transfer

    • Cancellations will only be accepted in a written format via Email or Fax

    • Refunds will take approximately 7days after cancelation

  • Tours

    • Tour cancelations penalties will apply:-

      • More than 30 days prior to departures 50% of total tour rate

      • Less than 30 days 75%

      • No show 100%

    • Refunds will take approximately 7 standard working days after cancelation

  • JAC reserve the right to delay or cancel a booking if deposit, full payment or confirmation is not received at specified timeframes

  • If another agreement for COD is made, passenger will still be responsible for payment in case of cancellation

 

Airport information

  • Your friendly driver will be waiting at the international / domestic arrivals hall

    • Relevant notification clipboard with passenger identifications

    • JAC visible clothing

  • If the representative is unable to identify the passenger or vice versa within 1hour please move to the nearest ACSA (Airport Company South Africa) information desk as the new specified rendezvous point

 

Transfer and baggage

  • Baggage will be seen as one travel bag and one hand luggage per person with maximum weight of 33kg. If otherwise required please ensure that this is specified with standard booking information as additional costs may apply.

  • Baggage will be for the passengers responsibility and JAC and its staff will not be held responsible for  the loss or damage during traveling

  • Passengers are allowed to load their own baggage only under supervision of an JAC representative or driver

  • Passengers are urged to obtain their own personal travel and baggage insurance

  • If underage travelers (i.e. 1 year old child or younger) are included please ensure that JAC is notified in advance to cater accordingly for child seats.

  • If special needs passenger will be included in the travel (any form of disabilities/wheelchairs or special requirement etc), please ensure that JAC is notified in advance to cater accordingly.

  • We love animals and we are pet friendly. Please notify JAC in advance to cater accordingly whether it may be your guide dog or household pet.

  • No persons under the age of 16 years will be allowed to travel alone without parental advisory unless agreed otherwise

 

General

  • Our drivers have been training for ensure the safety of himself and the passengers

    • Passenger safety is and will be priority at all times

    • Seatbelts is required as part of South African law

  • Drivers are instructed to obey all South African road regulations

  • In case of emergency, they are instructed to report to nearest authority / SAPS (South African Police Services)

  • Both driver and passengers must be respected at all times if otherwise please report to JAC

  • Our vehicles allowed traveling on national road only. Passenger cannot insist that vehicle travel on roads that are unsafe to both vehicle and passengers

  • Passenger is guaranteed that no unauthorized passengers will be accompanied in the vehicle without AC instructions

    • Can be reported to JAC

  • Waiting charges may apply if passenger is delayed for more than 1 hour for local flights and 1 ½ hours for international flights. After 2 hours driver will leave if not instructed to  wait any further

  • If delays are caused at Airport Cabs, notification would be communicated at the soonest expense to contact details received during booking

  • Airport Cabs cannot be held liable / accountable for delays caused to vehicle breakdown, weather conditions, traffic conditions, natural disasters, law enforcement or any other unforeseen circumstances

    • JAC will communicate delays to passengers at the soonest convenience

  • Early arrival would mean that the passenger will have to wait for the agreed time unless this is communicated to JAC and vehicle can be dispatched earlier

  • Smoking and alcohol consumption is forbidden at all times

  • Driver must adhere to booking arrangement and is not allowed to deviate more than 50km off route without prior notice

  • JAC will depend on ACSA (Airport Company South Africa) to retrieve flight information and cannot be held accountable for delays or incorrect information on ACSA’s behalf

  • By proceeding with booking the passengers accepts all of the above mentioned terms and conditions
